A baby is born...

Updated: Dec 11, 2024

A Baby Is Born

It’s 2015 and I am sitting on the floor in the common room in the YWAM base in New Zealand. The Lord has asked me to write down my passions and when I am done, I should choose what I would like to start with. As I write down my choice of make-up, I start getting a full download of a mission’s school for girls and young women. It takes me 2-3 hours to write everything and with that, Diamond Princesses is conceived.

I have spent the last 6 years wondering when this ministry would start, how it would work, and what it would look like etc. I finally got my answer two weeks ago. As I mentioned in my last post, I was going through dealings with myself over what next to do which lead me to taking a step.

One day at the office, I was talking with one of the girls and she was expressing some problems she was having at home. I left the office with a very heavy heart and I kept asking the Lord how I could help and what I could do. In the course of this, he said to cook for the girls and I immediately replied “how is food going to solve this problem.” Little did I know that food was LOVE opening not just their bellies but their hearts for what was coming. As I processed, I got the final piece of my business plan which is the main purpose of my business, and that is how Diamond Princesses was born.

A Baby Is Born

I spent the rest of the week putting together the course outline and that coming Monday, we had our first session. I have to admit I was nervous and anxious about it but it turned out the girls were very excited and it seemed to be to be an answer to some of their prayers. In that first session we soaked, prayed, and talked about identity and confidence.

The plan is to have weekly sessions where I will be sharing and teaching what the Lord has put on my heart. Then one day a week we will meet for outreach where we go out to serve people by offering free services, prayers, and anything else the Lord asks. I am really excited and nervous and I can’t believe that this is finally happening. This is the first post and I plan to give weekly updates on how things are going.

If you would like to know more, you can read up in the about section. I am looking forward to seeing what the Lord will do and how He transforms and blesses the girls.

As I embark on this journey, I would love and appreciate your prayers.

Love, chocolate cake, and Ice Cream, Yika ❤️

Brilliant.

I love your walk with God.

It is very practical and unique. ❤️🤍

The best part for me is that you always *obey* and I have not heard you mention that it matters what anyone thinks about this walk, because I know God's assignments may not even make sense...

Thank you ☺️. It really doesn’t but that doesn’t mean I don’t think about it some times lol… But knowing that its all about God keeps me going.
